The Year I Stopped Waiting for the Plan

The shift did not arrive as a single dramatic decision. It arrived as a willingness to take one visible next step without first securing the whole plan — and then to do that again, repeatedly, for about a year.
What changed first was not her circumstances. It was her account of whose definition of success she was answering to.
